I just wondered what happened to the weekly “What are you playing”-thread and it seems it went on a long summer break. Outdoors. Without electronics. Or Internet.
So, as fall/autumn is around the corner, it’s time to get back in front of your consoles, gaming PCs, smartphones, tablets.
What are you playing this week?
Starfield. I’m a little surprised it’s not more popular. Blows Skyrim away imo as a real time killer.
It’s a good game. Definitely overly hated among outrage-hungry “gamers”. Lovely worldbuilding, excellent quests and random encounters, fun combat. Looks great too apart from characters and facial animations. It’s cozy sci-fi, quite different from the usual cynicism and darkness that is so overwhelming now in gaming.
Idk, the fake smiling on vendors is spot on imo, especially the trade authority guy on The Den, contempt and such comes through on the guy who will buy anything and pushes a distinct smarmy vibe.
There’s room for what I’d call New Vegas refinement on Fallout 3, but it’s a huge game.
