There’s some cleverness behind it. The government is legally mandated to only refer to AI as SI, so that will theoretically boost the value of the squatted domains among the people obsessed with the stuff.

I’m personally all for rebranding “AI”, because current “AI” is not intelligent. Before current “AI”, the term AI meant that a computer would basically have human skills combined with computer skills, and current “AI” certainly falls short in many human skills.
Artificial Intelligence is an old field of study. I dislike that LLM’s are being called AI broadly. I also think algorithm and CGI are misused. That’s all a tangent.

I mean it’s all “AI” in the very broad sense. We’ve been on a journey to research and improve AI for many decades now. You can argue that any self-reliant automation (like Roombas) is a form of AI.
