I work mornings in the office and drive home on lunch break to wfh the rest of the day and all my best solutions pop into my head in that drive home. It’s great because it’s a quick break from work to get the brain percolating and then I can jump right into solving mode as soon as I get home.
I’m torn about this because I have good mentors but I genuinely want to try to learn how to code and not just have the answers given to me right away. At least I’m only working on volunteer project so being slow isn’t really holding anyone else up.
I installed Mint this past weekend. I like it and my laptop no longer sounds like it wants to blow up.
This is good to know. I want to put Mint on my laptop but I do like the look of steamdeck desktop too.
Yea this just screams VCU student.
If you can find a copy I would suggest the first Sly Cooper game.
I can’t praise chewy.com enough. I have a dog, a cat, and parrots and I save so much money not going to PetSmart or PetCo.
I kind of like all the unsolicited junk mail. I use it weekly to line the bottom of all my parrot cages.
I just want you to know that those of us who make these things for a living hate them too. By the time the stakeholders gets done with their “input” all the cool shit we wanted to do to make them tolerable and maybe even fun is out the window.
Gabapentin wouldn’t do anything for wound healing. I only mentioned it since OP said they had nerve damage in that area. The itching from the healing can exacerbated the nerve pain and the signals get crossed making everything feel worse. If it is an option it’s certainly worth a try even in the short term.
I’m not sure if it’s feasible for you to get it but gabapentin might help. It’s usually prescribed for neuropathy type pain. I have an old surgery scar that sometimes itches from the inside (if that makes sense) and I’ll take a gabapentin to get it to stop.
That’s a relief because I thought I’d stumbled into LinkedIn Lunatics for a hot second.
Theranos went down because Holmes was trying to run the same tired start-up scam all the big boys pull but within the confines of the medical industry. She would have succeeded if she had picked something non medical. The FDA doesn’t fuck around. If Elon thinks he’s smart enough to pull the same shit he’s going to “find out” too.
I absolutely loathe this new shuffle feature. I want to listen to my playlists not be spoon-fed advertising garbage. I remember one year Spotify had this thing where it was injecting popular x-mas songs into your playlist in the free version. What’s worse was you couldn’t skip the songs. I went back to using old MP3s for the rest of the month.
Easy money doing the lord’s work.
I’m actually kinda shocked to see it doesn’t have a side window. That’s the property owner’s fault at this point.
They might not be able to if the tires are still factory and were put on with an air gun or they still have locknuts on them. I learned that one the hard way.
Lucky you! Windows 11 sucks.
I love my Steam deck for this reason. I started out using it to replace my switch and now I’m easing my way into learning Linux.
