9 months agoI’m in your boat. I don’t even change my clocks for DST anymore. It doesn’t really matter beyond a ballpark what time it is most of the time (and keeping to standard time means my animals’ schedules don’t get messed up every 6 months). If there’s an appointment or something that I need an actual time for, I have my phone with tons of alarm options so it’s fine.
I haven’t set my stove clock in ages, tho I get why it has one since I can program it to start at a certain time, but beyond that appliances shouldn’t even have always-on displays. What’s the purpose other than wasting electricity?
This was my last dumbphone, I still have it in a box somewhere. It had the nicest glide! It would snap between open and closed, very satisfying. Also it was tiny tiny.
God I miss slide out keyboards. They were so tactile and nice. I had a sony experia pro for a while many many years ago, it was the last slide keyboard I could find that wasn’t a Bluetooth case. Was very sad when flashing roms borked my governator chip and it could never be off the charger again… (it had an issue with upgrading and then downgrading, so playing with different roms was a bad idea)
