3·1 year agoI probably need to switch VPNs. I currently use Surfshark and I experience 2 problems, and I want to see if it’s unique to that service.

Lots of sites block my traffic because they detect i’m coming from a VPN. And just not like… banks or streaming services, but stupid things like Autotrader.com. It’s silly.

The connection always seems to slow down over time, and I have to disconnect and reconnect to get it working at full speed again. I use it on Linux and on Android and the problem happens across devices.
Sounds like Mullvad has some good options.

71·1 year agoIt’s a great product. It is thanklessly maintained by a single developer who is constantly fighting Youtube changes to break it. If you do use it and like it, and you can afford it, please consider a few bucks a month via patreon to keep it alive.

65·1 year agoIn the same way that we should stop consuming media that blames everything on millennials, we should stop consuming media about how uniquely difficult it is for millennials.
Complaining about the younger generation, and the younger generation complaining that they have it uniquely difficult, has been the experience since the invention of teenagers. It was my experience, and it’ll be the same experience when millennials are my age.

What an insult. People who study software and game development should be getting jobs in insurance sales, the way they always have.

As someone who deleted their posts… yes. The goal was to make Reddit worse, by removing my contributions to it because they forgot where their value came from.
My content had some small value to them. They didn’t deserve it.
