I live in Multnomah County and the law here is that in order to carry a loaded weapon, concealed or unconcealed, you must have a concealed carry permit. Yes, there are charges for it.
Is it enforced? Oh, HELL NO. Not unless you’re engaged in doing some other crime, then they’ll tack it on as a value added crime.

For AI generated “news”:

Yeah, taking action that at a minimum gets you fired from a good paying job in this economy is Hi-larious!

Clippy is FUNNY though.

Not only that, but they are un-critically quoting the headline on a fucking YouTube video…

So “nothing effectual”. Got it.

LOL - what did they think would happen?
Had that happen with my toaster, took it apart, cleaned out all the crumbs, worked fine after that.

Helps if you put bread in.

I think that’s just a decorative carving on the rind.

It’s a delight and, of course, written by Peter David.

Distance lenses. Dashboard isn’t close enough for readers.
That was the problem with the bifocals, I’d look down and the dash was blurry.

I found I can’t do bifocals at all. When I’m reading, I need the whole lens. When I’m distance viewing, I need the whole lens.
So, two pairs it is!

Tape Gun.
Gina Carano was cast as a popular character in the new Star Wars shows then got fired for saying a bunch of right wing bullshit on social media.
Apparently a lawsuit just settled.
But yeah, cop here is being a major dickweed. Hopefully never allowed to work in law enforcement ever, anywhere.
Weird the thumbnail is Gina Carano as Cara Dune from the Star Wars shows… There is nothing in the story or related links for her…
This is like asking “Who would win in a fight, a submarine or a jet?”
The two combat styles aren’t comparable. Star Trek is based on naval battles, in fact, IMHO, the very best OG Trek episode, “Balance of Terror” was based on a WWII set submarine combat novel and movie called “The Enemy Below”:

Lucas specifically wanted Star Wars to emulate air combat and dogfights.
