Sisko was never glorifying being dark. In the pale moonlight is a fantastic episode, but I don’t remember it glorifying the darkness.

I like Star Trek because it’s optimistic. I want to see competent, emotionally mature, people solving problems by working together.
If I want to see bad apples I can look outside.
I will continue to not buy EA products. Fuck 'em

I guess? But imagine if enough people took a couple minutes to post about how organization XYZ sucks, and (because the stock markets are irrational vibes based) that caused their stocks to drop a few points. That’s the only thing they care about. I’m willing to put in a few minutes if it might emotionally harm an asshole.

I was going to write “this depends on the ATS used” but I thought that was a safe assumption. Seems not so!

Tried to submit one and it didn’t seem to go through.
My hypothetical is a lot of recruiters are kind of bad at their job, but there’s so many desperate candidates that they don’t need to do much to get passable results.

A hiring manager told me when she fills a position, it automatically sends the email to the other candidates. It’s not a human touch.

Cool. Fuck Microsoft
Arpgs do have a big random factor, but many have some element of crafting to offset it. Sometimes as small as slotting upgrade stuff (ie: gems) into armor, sometimes more involved. I’m pretty sure path of exile 1 had some depth to it, but I never went super hard. It’s one of the only free to play games that isn’t abusive, so it’s pretty low risk to try. I like the second game more, but it’s early access and has less stuff.
Monster Hunter
Any diablo-like. Path of exile, grim dawn, last epoch, etc.
Disgaea goes a little crazy with items and modifying them.

Yep. Place I’m at is in some sort of “hiring freeze”. They’re not replacing people who left. They also told the many (probably not strictly legal) contractors that they won’t be renewing them. It’s absurd.

It would take an incomprehensible set of changes for me to consider going back to Microsoft. They can fuck off.

Do the other ones have forums? I don’t remember even seeing them.
Is the steam forum supposed to be moderated by valve or the developer? I always assumed the developer.

The other contenders mostly are bad.
Drm-free still exists.
They provide a lot of value without charging the end user very much.
Microsoft could have done this except they’re run by idiots and assholes. Nothing technical stopped them from launching a good store platform. They just didn’t want to.
I didn’t personally find it difficult, but I have thousands of hours in video games.

Furthermore, if you are being paid the same but your productivity goes up, and the owner keeps all the new profits, you’re being robbed.

Even if it was dirt cheap, I don’t want to give microsoft my money. I don’t want to rent games or get stuck with a subscription.
I keep seeing job posts that have requirements like “must be excited about AI tools”. If the shit was good people would be excited on their own.
It’s all slop from the worst, soulless, people.

Match group should be broken up.
That’s my head canon for why they don’t have cameras everywhere, and other invasive technology like implants for communication and tracking
