It would take an incomprehensible set of changes for me to consider going back to Microsoft. They can fuck off.

Do the other ones have forums? I don’t remember even seeing them.
Is the steam forum supposed to be moderated by valve or the developer? I always assumed the developer.

The other contenders mostly are bad.
Drm-free still exists.
They provide a lot of value without charging the end user very much.
Microsoft could have done this except they’re run by idiots and assholes. Nothing technical stopped them from launching a good store platform. They just didn’t want to.
I didn’t personally find it difficult, but I have thousands of hours in video games.

Furthermore, if you are being paid the same but your productivity goes up, and the owner keeps all the new profits, you’re being robbed.

Even if it was dirt cheap, I don’t want to give microsoft my money. I don’t want to rent games or get stuck with a subscription.
I keep seeing job posts that have requirements like “must be excited about AI tools”. If the shit was good people would be excited on their own.
It’s all slop from the worst, soulless, people.

Match group should be broken up.

No television show will make you feel as you did when you were a child, watching star trek for the first time.

I hate the AI thing in confluence. Stop asking me to improve writing or summarize. I know how to read and write.

Something new. Something relatable. Not a one dimensional monster. Something that makes challenges the federation’s ideals.
Like the classic meme, more courtroom battles and less spaceship battles.

I thought it was pretty okay.
I think I might be old and grumpy but I find myself saying “just talk about your feelings!” at the TV a lot in this show. But I guess they’re all basically teenagers, so it would be unreasonable to ask a level of emotional maturity that many real life adults fail to meet.

I think I said this before, but a problem is when someone says “I don’t like star trek: discovery” it’s impossible to know if they have reasons beyond “i don’t like black women”. They might not even know themselves! And if they do, they’re unlikely to come out and say that. They’ll reach for something more acceptable like “I wanted self contained episodes” (but DS9’s arcs are cool) or whatever.
There are so many duds online they’ve poisoned the well of discourse.
Yep. Place I’m at is in some sort of “hiring freeze”. They’re not replacing people who left. They also told the many (probably not strictly legal) contractors that they won’t be renewing them. It’s absurd.
