juliebean@lemm.eeto Programming@programming.dev•What do you use for writing HTML by hand?61·4 months agousually, calibre’s ebook editor, but that’s cause most of my html writing and editing is to make epubs.
hopefully by then it’ll all be sorted by whatever fix they implemented before 2038.
yes? i don’t understand your apparent incredulity here.
juliebean@lemm.eeto Technology@beehaw.org•Logitech has an idea for a “forever mouse” that requires a subscription1·8 months agonot very much. honestly, only once or twice, for a laugh, which is probably still more than most folks lol
juliebean@lemm.eeto Technology@beehaw.org•Logitech has an idea for a “forever mouse” that requires a subscription3·10 months agowhat you wrote sounds completely insane to me. sure i don’t use a mouse on my phone very much, but no way would i ever prefer a trackpad to a mouse for a desktop or laptop. and tons of people still carry a mouse to use with their laptops, based on my observations. i really think you may be an outlier here.
is there a non sexist/queerphobic meaning for that term? i would assume the bigotry is the whole point.
juliebean@lemm.eeto Technology@beehaw.org•Kobo's new color E Ink eReaders start at only $1503·1 year agosome ereaders do use android, my old onyx did, but honestly i much prefer the dedicated solution kobo has. they could use android, but if they’ve got the resources to make their own os targeting their actual use case instead of cramming a mobile phone os in there, why wouldn’t they? even their os has too much cruft for my taste, but it is a lot less than an android ereader.
second day you say? why, by then we can have the second backup bridge designed, printed, and installed next to the first, so that is not a problem. every two days, a new bridge.
what subtitle? all i see is the title “Such an interesting idea!” and a link with a thumbnail. is there more information that my client isn’t displaying?
from the thumbnail, i really thought this was gonna be a joke about reinventing paragraphs
juliebean@lemm.eeto Technology@beehaw.org•Gen Z is bringing back landline phones because they think they look ‘cool’: ‘I love to twirl the cord’4·1 year agowth. radiation proof? is this for visiting the chernobyl exclusion zone?
i don’t want to go to all that effort. if you feel like it, could you describe it?
juliebean@lemm.eeto Risa@startrek.website•Ok everyone, time for a round of... koon-ut-kal-if-fee / pon farr / illogically take a life.English3·1 year agohmmm, it’ll have to be spock, spock, and spock, for me.
juliebean@lemm.eeto Technology@beehaw.org•New Study: At Least 15% of All Reddit Content is Corporate Trolls Trying to Manipulate Public Opinion20·1 year agocouldn’t read the whole article, but the first couple paragraphs seem to contradict the headline. ‘~15% of reddit users have encountered corporate astroturfing’ is not the same as ‘15% of content on reddit is corporate astroturfing’.
that’d be Vorik.
i thought the top bit was originally 0 or 1 depending on the evilness/odiousness of the rest of the number, as a parity check.
well, if they are all using the galactic plane, but have different standards, maybe we just didn’t know that they’re always showing klingon ships upside down.
juliebean@lemm.eeto Risa@startrek.website•I had always wondered the same thing about these cupsEnglish171·2 years agoput your whole mouth around the top and invert it. just like drinking a water bottle.
wow, there are some really steaming takes on anarchism in the comments here.
