It takes a bit longer but I’ll always look at the code itself to get me closest to the truth of what is going on under the hood.

melsaskca@lemmy.catodatahoarder@lemmy.ml•Recommendations for an inexpensive DIY backup?61·3 months agoIt’s nice to see that people are not just throwing shit to the “cloud”. The “cloud” is just someone else’s disk space and from there, anything can happen.
No advice here but whatever method you choose, script in a notification that all went well with backups so you know if you need to troubleshoot or not.

Everyone made and used BBS’s back in the beginning. It was relatively easy. BBS’s somehow morphed into Twitter, etc. and became worth billions. That valuation makes no sense.
It seems to be working for America right now.
