That was the '10s. These days they skip hiring the contractors and just… don’t have staff. It’s working fine after all, and we need to cut costs somewhere.

Anything VR really needs to be 90 or more, but around 60 is good for most things.

I actually think the choppy framerates in Cyberpunk is actually really immersive so it’s cool all the way down to 30 or with the smearing of dlss-performance, but most games don’t give you progressive brain damage in the first 2 hours like it does

I don’t even know that I agree with that at this point. 5 years ago I would have maybe agreed but today they’re right in line with what I would expect from a product whose quality didn’t go down after inflation, since they didn’t really raise prices after covid like everyone else.

I’ll note though that I’m only talking about sets for the under 12 crowd, I haven’t had occasion to buy any of the serous sets since the Tantive IV 20 years ago lol.

This is a result of a number of factors more than likely. Root cause is a bad detergent/soap to water ratio, which can be caused by putting too much in or unexpectedly soft water (people who are used to putting hard-water amounts of soap into washing machine loads who suddenly move somewhere with super soft water will often do this once or twice before dialing it back), but a contributing factor here is likely that the drain line that the hose is dumping into is partially clogged, so the suds are having a chance to backflow up past the hose instead of staying with the flow of the water, or the wrong type of soap is used as was mentioned above.

My solution to this was to put the default download folder on an nvme and then move the torrent to a storage hdd after completion
