I switched to EndeavourOS (no dual boot to fall back on needed since I received a “work laptop” with Windows 11) about a year ago, first time using Linux period, let alone as a daily driver, and all I can say is that it has been a wonderful experience. I will never use Windows on a personal machine again.
Full disclosure: I have a brother who has been using Linux for a while that helped me through the install process, and basically showed me how to search Google (and the Arch wiki) if I run into any issues, and I have yet to run into anything serious enough to require his attention (which I’m sure he’s thankful for). Small things here or there that I’ve been able to fix myself have gone a long way to helping me grasp (at least a little bit) what’s going on under the hood.
Additionally, while I don’t have a background in comp sci, I grew up during a time where we needed to know how computers worked beyond “press the button on the screen for the thing to start”, so I was already pretty comfortable with the command line and all that.
So I had a little help, but I’m not exaggerating when I say that I haven’t needed his direct help since installation.
As far as games are concerned, most of my PC gaming these days is on my Steam Deck, and even on there I’ve gotten games that Steam labels “unsupported” to work. For example, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition with DSFix works great despite being “unsupported” on Steam.

I switched for the first time last year after using Windows exclusively for the past ~30 years, and have had no issues whatsoever. I understand I might be an outlier in that I always had a compulsion to dig as deep as possible into my Windows install to change little things I didn’t like about it, so maybe I just already had the base knowledge to more easily switch.
But I’ve been using EndeavourOS, and it’s been an absolute joy.
And kill the entire planet in the process if you need to.
Only reasonable to a capitalist who sees everything as zero-sum.

I don’t know what you mean by “which definition” as though there’s a few for me to select from…? I’m just saying that the term seems self-explanatory to me, and I’m not exactly sure how to describe it better than that.
They think they are literally performing “spiritual warfare,” and that their words have power to destroy (yes, real and literal) demonic forces that are usually the cause of issues in your life. Usually mental health issues, shockingly. They take this VERY seriously as this is a matter of eternity in their addled minds.
It seems as though they believe that the more angry and fervent they are with that “spiritual warfare,” the better it works?

That’s weird… I’ve never heard the term, but I grew up in an Evangelical Christian household, and I knew exactly what they were referring to as soon as I read it.

Ok… Finding one exception doesn’t really disprove anything. I don’t think I ever claimed that it was a hard rule that every movie fits into. Just a rule a thumb I use to find media that I otherwise might have missed.
I’m not really of the mind that a piece of media can be “so bad it’s good.”
I understand the sentiment, but I generally do not agree. Maybe “so bad that it’s fun to laugh at with friends,” but “good”? Nah.
Literally anything critical of Christianity (or anything that could even be perceived as critical of Christianity, we can’t actually expect them to watch it first).
I guess I should have kept better track over the years… Let me see if I can find a few.
An obvious one (video game though) that I can think of off hand is The Last of Us 2. Fantastic game, user scores brigaded everywhere “because gay/trans.”
In fact, I think The Last of US TV show was review bombed after episode 3. Again, “because gay.”
The TV show “The Watchmen” was brigaded by users (not sure if they’ve filtered those out, or if the score has been adjusted since, but when it originally aired, user scores were very very low due to review bombing). Anyone who’s seen the show could tell you exactly why that happened.
Here is an article about it happening to a film about the Armenian Genocide (I haven’t seen the film so I can’t say if it’s good, but I’m sure it doesn’t deserve 1-star)
I will have to try to keep track from now on. Sometimes it becomes a cultural moment, like with TLOU, but lots of times it goes under the radar, and a show/movie/game gets quietly fucked over by idiots on the internet who have no interest in even trying the media first.
Yes, and those movies end up with a reasonable gap between the two scores. It will have a lower user score than critic score, but it’s only ever below 2 or 3 if it’s been brigaded. This can be easily confirmed by just reading a few of the user reviews.
He has made this country stupider. It’s like a feedback loop of ignorance and stupidity.
Totally how normal people behave.
