What if I want to screenshot my cocaine-fueled rant to my ex and mistakenly send it to said ex instead of my homies?

Win/win. You can bill for travel time and expenses. And if you die on the way you got off Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride!

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•What do you call your production branch?
114·4 months agoWhat about
joe? Because the engineer who bootstrapped the project mistakenly put his name as the mainline branch and we realized it far too late during the lifecycle and the team decided to keep the branch name because it’s hilarious.

81·6 months agoBecause people are getting dumber. It used to be Ben Shabibo with his logical gymnastics, but now with the average right wingers getting dumber they don’t need that shit, now they’re just flocking to people like Assmongold and Charlie Kirk who just shouts keywords and that’ll activate their neurons.

I lucked out having a dad who’s into computers so I had the chance to tinker with his old stuff since I was a little bwoah.
It’s no guarantee. I tell you, the CEO position is like a poison to the brain. My company CEO is so hopped up on LLMs I’m highly suspecting that his slack messages are written by an LLM.
That’s the way it’s going now. People are making agentic stuff. Even in my company people are experimenting on something like that. Setup an agent, hook it up to the APIs and let loose.
In software development it’s usually used to describe the situation after an incident was resolved. The team that’s responsible for the feature usually performs a postmortem to find out the root cause and find out what they can do to avoid another incident.
Well I’ll be damned.

Text for my screen reader using friends.
Me: What is the I in LLM stands for?
Gemini: The “I” in LLM doesn’t stand for anything. LLM stands for Large Language Model.

7·1 year agoAll the projects that have shittier outcomes in my experience is always waterfall. This is mainly because the stakeholders usually have this bright idea to be added in the middle of development that’s really need to be added at all costs and then got angry when the timeline got pushed because of their fucking request breaking a lot of shit.
At least scrum has a lead time of around 2 weeks so that when someone has a idea we can tell them we’ll add it to the backlog and hope they forgot about it during the next sprint planning.
It’s all offset by the small screen. Playing Ghost of Tsushima on low-medium graphics coupled with frame gen is chef’s kiss on a handheld.
It might depend on which part of the world they live in. In the West? Not so much. But in a third world country? It might very well be a day’s work wage.

My friend who works in marketing usually try to find out the hiring manager and also emailed them directly while also providing something similar to the commenter above (3-month marketing and content plan instead of a sample project) and it’s basically 100% success rate for getting a response for him.
